Jay can usually be found at the front of the group due to having a vague idea of which direction in which to head, and most of the groups tours can be traced back to a daft idea cooked up in his shiny, weird head.
Can often be found riding bikes, working on bikes, reading bike magazines, watching bike videos on Youtube………………………….we think you get the idea.
With a riding career spanning back to a first year riding on a 50cc covering 13,500 touring miles, and including an aged Honda Superdream and Yamaha Diversion, he is a firm believer that there is no such thing as a BORING bike (“if a bike is boring you are doing it wrong!”)
A lover of spreadsheets, an essential skill when arranging a group trip. Let’s just not mention the karaoke!

Essential Touring Tip “Be comfortable. With long days in the saddle, good comfortable and protective bike gear is key. If you aren’t comfortable you won’t be safe - and the most important thing is everyone gets back safe”.
First tour was a short jaunt to the Black Forest in Germany.
Jaz holds a key place in the group. She can take the most absurd idea and take it to a whole new level.
Can often be found at bike shops that serve either a good veggie breakfast or a jacket potato and stocks Rev’it clothing.
After deciding being a pillion wasn’t for her, Jaz passed her test and bought her first touring bike, a Kawasaki GPZ500s. However, she quite quickly developed her dislike of Bridgestone tyres that still persists to this day.
Jaz is a packing genius and always seems to have room in her luggage - it is quite magical.

Essential Touring Tip “Go at a pace you are comfortable with - it’s a tour not a race. The scenery is there for a reason”.
First tour was a 2 week trip around Germany taking in The Harz Mountains.
Aitch is the font of all knowledge for the group.
Can often be found at one of his favourite coffee shops waiting for the others to arrive for a ride out.
Riding bikes since the world was sepia, his first serious bike ownership was a 250 Superdream, closely followed by a CX500.
A certified Basecamp and Ebay genius, a very desirable skill set for bike touring.

Essential Touring Tip “Keep the mileage down, and prep your bike properly. It’s not a marathon and you don’t want high stress levels”.
First tour was a a sunny run to the South of France and back.
Alison is the groups designated responsible adult ………..well, all things are relative.
Can often be found at the gym, closely followed by one of her favourite cafes for a Full English breakfast.
Her first bike was a 125 custom with a duck on the tank (“Shut up, it was an Eagle!!!”).
The one person in the group who can settle the argument about what we are doing for food, she has avoided fisty cuffs amongst hangry group members several times.

Essential Touring Tip “Keep an eye on your mileage and know your tank range. Not all countries have regular fuel so best to fill up early than run out”.
First tour was on a bright Red SV650 to Germany.
Gary is the owner of more silly hats than 1 person needs, and owns a set of doggles (“sod off, they are safety glasses!”).
Often found doing whatever his wife Alison tells him to do.
Traditionally a 4 cylinder guy, with the odd BMW and v twin thrown in for variety.
An absolute lover of a bargain, this is a very discerning gentleman :) .
